Former WWE star recounts Seth Rollins' two-word reaction when he found out about WrestleMania snub
WWE Superstar Seth "Freakin" Rollins shared a heartfelt sentiment on the Road To WrestleMania in 2024. Nine years ago he cashed-in during WrestleMania 31's main event showdown between WWE Champion Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns and won the belt. However, Rollins noted how WrestleMania XL was the first time WWE announced beforehand that he would headline the spectacle.
His wife, Becky Lynch, recently discussed the very first women's main event at WrestleMania on Games With Names. In 2019, The Man and her man won their respective Royal Rumble bouts, which guaranteed them world title contests on the grand stage.
While Rollins faced The Beast Incarnate for the Universal Title at WrestleMania 35, it was Lynch's match against SmackDown Women's Champion Charlotte Flair and RAW Women's Champion Ronda Rousey that closed the show. The Irish wrestler recounted the day she found out about it while driving, with her husband in the car. When she told him about it, he simply reacted, "That's interesting":
"I've said my husband's a no-seller. So I said, 'We're going to main event WrestleMania,' and he goes, 'That's interesting.' He was like well because normally they don't announce what the main event and I think up until that point they actually hadn't ... he was right they never actually announce it beforehand," she said. Seth Rollins and Brock Lesnar opened the show, with the former winning the belt from The Beast in a short encounter. The two continued their feud after the Show of Shows, culminating in a SummerSlam main event that year.

Seth Rollins is currently on hiatus, seemingly working at his wrestling school Black and Brave. He celebrated the school's 10th anniversary recently.
He was originally slated to defend the World Heavyweight Championship in the main event of WrestleMania Saturday in April 2024 against CM Punk. But after the Chicago native got injured, plans changed. Their rivalry is arguably the most personal in recent memory, owing to some of Rollins' scathing remarks when Punk was not signed to WWE.
WWE's creative team added The Visionary to CM Punk's rivalry with Drew McIntyre this summer, with the former World Heavyweight Champion acting as Special Guest Referee to their match at SummerSlam. The foundation has already been laid, and now it is only a matter of making it to WrestleMania 41.
