Former WWE star reflects on his only match against Triple H
Before announcing his in-ring retirement in 2022, WWE CCO Triple H traveled across the world to wrestle during his prime years. Recently, former star Jinder Mahal reminisced about his most unforgettable match outside the United States, where he shared the ring with The Game himself. Their encounter was part of one of India's largest-ever wrestling events, surpassing all expectations.
On December 9, 2017, The Modern Day Maharaja locked horns with Hunter in their only encounter at the Live Supershow at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium in New Delhi. Even though the former United States Champion didn't secure a big win in his homeland, he earned respect from Triple H.
In an interview with Casual Conversations with The Classic, Jinder Mahal was asked about his experience main eventing a live event with The King of Kings in India. The former WWE Champion described his one-time bout against The Game as a "bucket list" experience.
"Amazing, like a bucket list match for myself. I think one of Triple H's last matches ever also. It was amazing and Triple H wasn't an active wrestler at that time," said Mahal. [From 51:28 to 51:40]
