Former WWE star teases return to the ring after 9 years; shares new training video
A former WWE Superstar shared a potential return tease today on social media. The veteran has not competed in a match since 2015 and departed WWE in 2014.
Ezekiel Jackson recently teased a return to the ring and followed it up with another message today on his official X/Twitter account. The former Intercontinental Champion took to social media to share a new training video. The 46-year-old ran the ropes, took a bump in the ring during the video, and noted he did well for his age.
"Haven’t ran in a ring or bumped in a while. Not too bad for 46!" he wrote.
Ezekiel Jackson's time in WWE came to an end in January 2014. He spent some time in TNA and Lucha Underground after departing the promotion. Jackson's last match took place on October 18, 2015, during the wXw 15th Anniversary tour.
Ezekiel Jackson on losing IC Title to major WWE star ahead of SummerSlam 2011
Wrestling veteran Ezekiel Jackson recently shared his thoughts on losing the Intercontinental Championship to Cody Rhodes just days before SummerSlam 2011.
Cody Rhodes is the reigning Undisputed WWE Champion and appeared on last night's RAW for a face-to-face meeting with World Heavyweight Champion Gunther. The two stars will be squaring off to determine the Crown Jewel Champion at the premium live event in Saudi Arabia on November 2.
In an interview on the Two Man Power Trip of Wrestling podcast, Jackson discussed losing the title to Rhodes a couple of days before SummerSlam 2011. Ezekiel noted that he thought he would be defending the title against The American Nightmare at the premium live event and did not know he would lose the title when he arrived at SmackDown.
"I’m like, 'Cool, we’ll probably make it to SummerSlam. I get my SummerSlam match with Cody, whatever, which way, I’m ready for whatever.' To lose the title the SmackDown before SummerSlam was really weird. I was like, 'I really couldn’t get a SummerSlam match?' I showed up and I didn’t even know I was losing the title that night.” [From 49:28 to 49:55]

Ezekiel Jackson also captured the ECW Championship during his career. It will be interesting to see if the veteran decides to return to action down the line.
