Former WWE star teases Royal Rumble return after 16 years with dramatic new look

WWE Royal Rumble is a favorite for many fans on account of the event's unique titular bout. It is an ideal place for former talents, retired athletes, or legends to make one-off appearances.

Kara Elizabeth Drew, better known by her ring name, Cherry, has dropped a new photo on her social media, almost unrecognizable. Cherry was signed with World Wrestling Entertainment from late 2005 to 2008. During her tenure in the Stamford-based promotion, she managed former World Tag Team Champions, Deuce 'n Domino.

While nothing regarding a potential Rumble entry was outright brought up by her, the cryptic message she added in the post got some fans wondering whether it was a tease. Needless to say, the timing evokes a sense of curiosity:

"Let me reintroduce myself….." Cherry wrote on X/Twitter.

When Cherry spoke about former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon

Vince McMahon is in the middle of a legal battle, predominantly stemming from former WWE employee Janel Grant, who filed a lawsuit against the 79-year-old. Grant alleged that he exploited her, charging him with sex trafficking and assault. Days after it became public, Vince resigned from his position as TKO's Executive Chairman.

In an interview with Wrestling Then And Now, Cherry spoke in-depth about her relationship with Vince McMahon when she was signed with WWE:

"Vince was, shockingly, very sweet and nice. So, I was a little nervous about approaching him. So, in legends, I mean, he's a legend really, you know, to be able to have the guts to kinda knock on his door and go in and have a conversation, to have him so gracious too. And everybody's like, 'Oh, he's such a d*ck. He's so this, that, and the other.' Not to me and not to other people," she said.

Cherry further stated that the former WWE Chairman is someone who obviously has a knack for the business and is a billionaire, noting that she would have understood if McMahon did not care for her, but then he listened.
