Former WWE Superstar comes forward to support recently injured Chris Bey in a unique way
TNA Wrestling’s Chris Bey suffered a serious injury on October 27, 2024, for which he had to undergo neck surgery. As the former TNA World Tag Team Champion recovers, several pro wrestlers have come forward to help and support him. Interestingly, former WWE Superstar Matt Cardona also recently came forward with a unique way to support Bey.
The former Zack Ryder worked in TNA and became the Impact Digital Media Champion. He started his career in the promotion by winning his first match against Bey’s tag team partner, Ace Austin. Speaking on behalf of the pro wrestling world via a tweet on X, Matt Cardona said that everyone loved Bey.
He also wrote that he was promoting the first-ever Chris Bey action figurines for sale. The former WWE Intercontinental Champion highlighted that all the sales profits would go directly to the injured wrestler.
“We love @DashingChrisBey and wanted to do something to help out during this difficult time. Get the very first Chris Bey wrestling figure! 100% of profits go to Chris!”
TNA Wrestling steps up for Chris Bey
While Matt Cardona chipped in to support Bey, TNA Wrestling stepped up for its former champ. The promotion’s upcoming shows scheduled for November 8 and 9 in Fayetteville will raise funds for the injured wrestler.
Many names in the pro wrestling circle have also donated money to a GoFundMe page to help with his medical expenses. The list includes Chris Jericho, Cody Rhodes, Adam Copeland, Scott D’Amore, Shane Helms, Karrion Kross, Will Osprey, and others. A WhatNot auction will also be held to support Bey.
Bey is currently recovering and getting rehabilitation after his surgery in Detroit. It would be interesting to see him quickly recover and fight to reclaim the tag titles he lost to The Hardy Boyz at Bound For Glory.
