Former WWE Superstar highlights his impressive record against Triple H

A former WWE Superstar recently boasted about his impressive record against Triple H. The star in question was released by the promotion last year.

Shelton Benjamin was let go by WWE last September following the company's merger with Endeavor to form TKO Group Holdings. Benjamin took to his Instagram story today to react to a post from content creator, Wrestlestar's, video about surprising stars who had defeated Triple H in the past.

Benjamin noted that he had beaten The King of Kings three times in a row, and you can check out his message on Instagram by clicking here.

"I did it 3x in a row," he wrote.

Bobby Lashley and MVP have also recently been removed from WWE's active roster. Shelton Benjamin, Lashley, MVP, and Cedric Alexander comprised the popular faction, The Hurt Business, but the group was disbanded two years ago.

Cedric Alexander is the only remaining member of the group in the company, and reportedly agreed to a new deal with WWE earlier this year.

Vince Russo believes WWE star is held back due to Triple H's perception of him

Former WWE head writer, Vince Russo, recently suggested that Braun Strowman was being held back due to how Triple H views him.

Strowman and Bronson Reed had another wild brawl this past Monday night on RAW. The Monster of All Monsters tackled Bronson Reed through a wall during the segment.

Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Writing with Russo show, the veteran suggested that Strowman wasn't being pushed because The Cerebral Assassin sees him as a country boy.

"Triple H is an East Coast guy," Russo said. "Vince was an East Coast guy. I'm an East Coast guy. Bro, I gotta tell you, from day one, and I think this has been a big part of the problem, please correct me if I'm wrong, Chris, I know you have no problem doing that. The perception I've always had of Braun Strowman is, yes, bro, he's big, he's bad, he's intimidating, he's a monster, he's whatever they call him. S.O.B. He's One Big S.O.B. You know what else he is, bro? He's a good old [country] boy. I'm telling you, bro, that is what it is [why Strowman is held back]." [2:20 – 3:09]

The promotion is currently on the road to Bad Blood scheduled for October 5. It will be interesting to see if The Game and the creative team have any surprises in store for fans ahead of the premium live event next month in Atlanta, Georgia.
