Former WWE Superstar officially set to return to the ring after a lengthy absence
It has been officially announced that the former WWE Superstar Cassie Lee (a.k.a. Peyton Royce) will return to in-ring action.
The Australian star, who was released from the Stamford-based company in 2021, would go on to compete in IMPACT Wrestling. However, she and her tag team partner Jessie McKay (a.k.a. Billie Kay) both decided to step away from the wrestling business in April 2022.
Earlier today, it was announced that the former WWE Women's Tag Team Champion will return to the ring later this year in October as she will compete in the full-throttle tour for World Series Wrestling.

The past year has been a huge one personally for the 30-year-old star after she and current All Elite Wrestling star Shawn Spears announced the birth of their first child, Austin, on January 17th, 2023.
Cassie Lee almost joined a current WWE faction
Prior to her leaving the company, Lee formed a very close friendship with Bayley, with the former SmackDown and RAW Women's Champion seeing great things for the Australian.
During a recent interview with Ariel Helwani of BT Sport, Bayley revealed that she originally wanted Cassie to be a part of her faction, Damage CTRL.
"Peyton Royce was someone that I really wanted in there. Tegan Nox was someone that I wanted in there. There were a lot of people that it just kind of changed throughout time and as people left the company and things like that, but Dakota was always, she's one of the OG's that I always envisioned in this group." Damage CTRL was introduced at SummerSlam 2022, where a returning Bayley introduced Dakota Kai and IYO Sky as the faction's other two members.
