Former WWE Superstar reveals he's unemployed

A former WWE Superstar shared an interesting update today on social media, claiming he was unemployed. The star in question was removed from the company's active roster earlier this year.

WWE removed both MVP and Bobby Lashley from the active roster in July. The two stars were a part of The Hurt Business faction, alongside Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander, but the group was disbanded in 2022.

MVP took to Instagram today to share that he hit the jackpot on a slot machine in Las Vegas. He hilariously noted that it was great timing as he is currently unemployed, as seen in the post below.

"I forgot to post this. I hit the jackpot on a slot in Vegas the weekend of Masters Worlds. 1st time I ever got the tax paperwork for winning money. Good thing too! Considering I'm unemployed. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣," he wrote.

MVP confronted Josh Barnett in July and challenged him to a future match in GCW. There have also been rumors of The Hurt Business reuniting as "The Hurt Syndicate" outside the company.

Former WWE writer claims The Hurt Business was "a miss from the get-go"

Vince Russo recently explained why he felt like The Hurt Business was a missed opportunity from the start.

Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Writing with Russo show, the veteran detailed his issues with the faction. He noted that the faction was popular during the height of the Black Lives Matter movement and suggested the company missed an opportunity to create a memorable storyline.

"This is where it was a miss from the get-go. Bro, they started The Hurt Business during the height of Black Lives Matter. Now, here is the thing. Chris, you know better than anybody, especially for white people; there was a great misunderstanding of what Black Lives Matter really was. That was the perfect opportunity to tell that story and to explain that story, and to educate people... And who would have been better than MVP? They totally ignored it," the WWE veteran said.
