Former WWE Superstar sends message to 46-year-old following Roman Reigns' return
Months after his monumental loss WrestleMania XL at the hands of 'The American Nightmare' Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns returned to WWE at SummerSlam. But it was not for the Undisputed WWE Championship.
He took out The Bloodline's former enforcer Solo Sikoa, who had taken over as the new 'Tribal Chief' of the faction Reigns built up from scratch. Mojo Rawley reacted to the moment by pointing to a detail many fans may have missed.
Rawley shared a clip on X in which Dan Engler, the referee who called the main event of SummerSlam, is seen frightened as soon as Roman Reigns' entrance theme hits the arena. It was a new but familiar rendition of The Tribal Chief's music. As for Engler, he has not always had the best experience when the former Undisputed WWE Universal Champion is in the ring.
Check out Mojo Rawley's post on X below:
"Poor @DanEnglerWWE."
After knocking down Solo Sikoa with a Superman Punch and a Spear, Roman Reigns stared down Cody Rhodes. Before rolling out of the ring, he gave The American Nightmare a nod, seemingly showing a sign of respect. Rhodes then pinned Sikoa and secured the win. Post-match, the latter was seen in a fit of rage alongside his new family.
Roman Reigns is advertised for the upcoming WWE SmackDown
Cody Rhodes may be in possession of the top prize of SmackDown, but now that Roman Reigns is back in the fold, the latter could be a huge difference-maker in terms of who is the face of the company. Needless to say, it is an exciting time for wrestling fans.
The 'Original Tribal Chief' appears to be his new monicker, and he is advertised for the August 9 episode of SmackDown, which will feature fallout from SummerSlam.
In the months of his absence, Solo Sikoa booted Jimmy Uso and Paul Heyman out of The Bloodline, assaulting both of them. The Wiseman's exit from Sikoa's new faction was the final nail in the coffin for everything Roman Reigns built up.
How Reigns retaliates bears watching, as neither Jimmy nor Heyman have been seen on SmackDown since being attacked. As for the latter, he has dropped a message on social media addressing the return of the Original Tribal Chief.
