Former WWE tag team champions tease massive heel turn after weeks of dissension
A popular WWE tag team has been having issues with each other for the past few weeks. They have now teased a massive heel turn.
DIY have been a popular tag team since their time together in NXT. However, they have had their fair share of problems with each other. Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano have shown multiple times that they can't trust each other as both of them have betrayed each other in the past.
However, it looked like they had put the past behind them after making it to the main roster and they started teaming up together again and even won the WWE Tag Team Championship. However, things have not been the same for Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano after they lost the title.
Failure to regain the title has put a strain on their relationships. For the past few weeks, Ciampa has been visibly upset over his tag team partner's friendship with the Motor City Machine Guns. He even attacked The Street Profits and cost them their shot at the championship. When Gargano tried to intervene, Ciampa shoved him to the mat. Last week on the blue brand, Ciampa lost to Montez Ford and then attacked him. Again, Gargano tried to diffuse the situation but his partner was having none of it.
Tonight on WWE SmackDown, Ciampa was arguing with his partner backstage. The former was frustrated with Gargano for putting his friendship with the Motor City Machine Guns over them winning the title again. He then gave his partner a week to figure things out before he did things his way. If Gargano agrees to side with Ciampa, then DIY could turn heel next week.
It will be interesting to see Johnny Gargano's decision next week on WWE SmackDown.
