Former WWE World Heavyweight Champion's time is up and management is wasting his time, feels Matt Morgan

WWE has a bloated roster and sometimes it becomes difficult for management to make full use of someone's talents. Wrestling veteran Matt Morgan recently discussed the booking of former World Heavyweight Champion, Sheamus.

The Celtic Warrior has been experiencing a resurgence in 2024 after facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines due to a career-threatening neck injury. However, he has failed to get his hands on the Intercontinental Championship, the only title that has eluded him his entire career.

On the recent episode of Monday Night RAW, Sheamus unsuccessfully challenged Bron Breakker for the coveted prize. The match ended in a disqualification after Ludwig Kaiser attacked both men.

Speaking on the Gigantic Pop podcast, Matt Morgan said that Sheamus' time is up as he's not the same wrestler he once was.

The former SmackDown Superstar wants WWE management to give the Irishman more time on the mic than putting him in matches he doesn't stand a chance to win.

"With no disrespect to my boy, Sheamus. I love Sheamus. I do because he's a fellow big man, but his time is up...I love how he's got himself in amazing shape for his age. But like no, no dude, nobody's buying you're gonna beat this guy at this stage in your career. With respect, with mad respect. Our guys should not be wasting his time on this, I would rather see a promo and promo growth from him, instead of this entire bleeping match if I'm being honest," Morgan said. (38:25 - 39:36)

What's next for WWE Superstar Sheamus?

After causing a disqualification, it has become a foregone conclusion that a Triple Threat match between Sheamus, Bron Breakker, and Ludwig Kaiser is on the cards.

But the question remains whether WWE will pull the trigger on this blockbuster match at Survivor Series: WarGames. So far, only three matches have been made official for the upcoming premium live event on November 30.

The Celtic Warrior recently expressed his desire to run it back with Bron Breakker at a premium live event in the future. The 46-year-old RAW Superstar believes his rematch with Breakker would "feed generations."

Meanwhile, Ludwig Kaiser has been wanting to end the career of Sheamus. Will The Imperium member succeed in his mission? Only time will tell.
