Former WWE writer discusses Solo Sikoa's position within the roster's hierarchy

Solo Sikoa rose to prominence on SmackDown in a short period. The brand's return to the USA Network on September 13 kicked off with Sikoa challenging Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes for the title in a brutal Steel Cage Match.

Even though the self-proclaimed Tribal Chief lost, he continues to shine consistently in high-profile scenarios. Meanwhile, former WWE writer Freddie Prinze Jr. recently commented on The Street Champ's position within the roster hierarchy on the Friday Night Show.

Speaking on his Wrestling with Freddie podcast, the former WWE writer detailed Solo's meteoric rise from being a silent Enforcer of Roman Reigns to being the leader of The Bloodline. Freddie also claimed that fans reacted favorably to a large degree as the 31-year-old was a believable threat.

"Low-key, Solo Sikoa is like not a top, top dude, but he's been in nothing but top, top matches, and he's going to continue, and he's low-key a star on that show, and they built it quick. He went from no dialogue, none, then all of a sudden he's cutting like Godfather monologues, where he's like, 'I'm the boss of a Bloodline,' and everybody's like, 'Yep, yeah, you're the man!' And then his matches are there, and he can wrestle like a beast, kicks a**," he said. [H/T: Wrestling Inc.]

Roman Reigns vs. Solo Sikoa is inevitable, says Freddie Prinze Jr.

In December 2023, Roman Reigns anointed Solo Sikoa as ''The Tribal Prince" of The Bloodline. The OTC lost to The American Nightmare at WrestleMania XL and went on a hiatus. In his absence, the erstwhile Tribal Heir took over the faction.

Roman returned to television at SummerSlam 2024, costing The Street Champ the Undisputed WWE Title Bloodline Rules Match against Cody. The Original Tribal Chief will join forces with Cody Rhodes to battle Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu in a tag team match at Bad Blood.

Meanwhile, in the same episode of the podcast, Freddie Prinze Jr. touched upon the heavily teased future singles program between Reigns and Sikoa before adding that he loved the self-proclaimed Tribal Chief.

"He's [Solo] got the Samoan Spike; it looks great! [He] has a match with Roman Reigns coming up to see who the real 'Tribal Chief' is. I freaking love Solo Sikoa, dude!" he said.

Meanwhile, the upcoming tag team contest at Bad Blood is not just about Roman and Solo, as The OTC appears to have lingering issues with Cody Rhodes, too. It will be interesting to see how the relationship between the former rivals evolves in the coming weeks.
