Giulia heartbroken and frustrated; shares major injury update on Stephanie Vaquer
Giulia and Stephanie Vaquer have formed a strong bond on NXT since signing with WWE earlier this year. However, it was every woman for herself at NXT Deadline, where both competed in the Iron Survivor Challenge. Ultimately, it was Giulia who emerged victorious. On this week’s episode of NXT, The Beautiful Madness opened the show to address her next challenger, Roxanne Perez.
Perez and Cora Jade interrupted to launch a two-on-one attack on Giulia. Jade taunted her, saying that Stephanie Vaquer wouldn’t be able to help this time. The camera then cut backstage, revealing Vaquer laid out in pain. Fortunately for Giulia, Kelani Jordan ran out to even the odds, saving her from further assault. Later in the episode, Giulia and Kelani visited Vaquer in the trainer’s room to provide an update on her condition.
Giulia was frustrated and went on a passionate rant in Japanese, expressing her anger at the situation. Kelani reassured everyone, "Stephanie is banged up, but she's going to be okay."
Jordan added that they were tired of seeing Roxanne Perez and Cora Jade act like they ran NXT. She declared that they would team up to face Perez and Jade in the main event later that night.
As for Stephanie Vaquer, it’s yet to be seen when she will be cleared for an in-ring return.
