Goldberg breaks silence following shocking appearance at WWE Bad Blood

Goldberg shocked the world when he appeared at WWE Bad Blood in Atlanta and had a confrontation with Gunther. Today, the former Universal Champion broke silence and addressed his shocking appearance at the premium live event.

Earlier this month, Goldberg made a pleasant yet surprising appearance alongside his family at WWE Bad Blood. However, the whole scenario turned ugly for the former World Champion when Gunther came out and fired shots.

The Myth jumped the barricade to confront The Ring General, but it was averted quickly. Speaking on the CarCast Podcast, the WWE Hall of Famer broke silence and revealed why he agreed to appear at Bad Blood.

"I was in Atlanta for some business. I was filming a new TV show, and WWE extended an invitation, and we came and experienced it... I mean, I should've known that somebody would try to mess with me in Atlanta, no less. We were having a great time, and then Gunther. I mean, I don't want to make anything more of it than it was," Goldberg said.

He added:

"So, what started out to be an innocent attendance of a pay-per-view turned out to be being insulted by one of their current champions. I don't care where we were; I would've done the same thing. It being in Atlanta, mainly kind of like my adoptive hometown. You know, I ain't dead yet. Come on, as long as I'm breathing, don't ever talk about me, especially my family. That was it. It was nothing more than that." (From 02:18 to 04:04)

Goldberg hasn't competed in WWE since 2022

Goldberg was once a force to reckon with in WCW and WWE. The former World Champion remained dominant during his second run with the Stamford-based promotion under Vince McMahon's regime.

However, the streak ended a while back after he became a Hall of Famer and took notable losses. In 2022, he had a match with Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship at Elimination Chamber in Saudi Arabia.

The former two-time World Heavyweight and Universal Champion hasn't competed for the Stamford-based promotion since losing to The Tribal Chief. It'll be interesting to see if the segment with Gunther will lead to his comeback under Triple H's regime.
