Goldberg set to return after recent comments on WWE RAW, speculates veteran (Exclusive)

While WWE legend Goldberg has remained out of in-ring action since 2022, recent developments on RAW may change that. According to one veteran, Da Man may return to the screen later.

In a war of words between Gunther and Bret Hart on the latest RAW episode, Gunther slyly mentioned Goldberg. Considering the rivalry between Hart and Da Man, this was certainly a shot at Bret Hart. This has also prompted a discussion regarding whether Goldberg may be planning a return.

Speaking on Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Time Machine hosted by Mac Davis, veteran journalist Bill Apter speculated:

"The thing with Goldberg, wouldn't it be interesting if something we don't know about is going on behind the scenes where Goldberg will be upset at this thing? And maybe when they do in Vancouver, British Colombia, they do the Survivor Series, maybe they'll have Bret Hart as a guest again, and maybe Bill Goldberg will just come out, and they'll do a staredown?" Vince Russo also shared his thoughts about the WWE segment

While Vince Russo is generally quite harsh with his criticisms, even he was impressed by how Goldberg was mentioned on WWE RAW.

Speaking on Legion of RAW, the former Head Writer stated that while Bret Hart's getting a pop was expected, he was more shocked by Goldberg's name being dropped.

"We had Bret Hart get a nice pop which is great. That’s good for Bret to get all his dessert. But when Gunther said his favorite wrestler was Goldberg, that popped me. I loved it. Then the Sami thing is like, oh bro, please stop with this guy for crying out loud." [From 1:06:18 onwards]

As of now, it remains to be seen whether Bill Apter's prediction about the WWE legend will come true.
