"Whatever it is, he has it" - AJ Styles compares his former rival to two-time WWE Champion

Despite the two being rivals on-screen, AJ Styles recently broke character to praise his potential new adversary on WWE SmackDown.

Grayson Waller's move to Friday night's show has already created a buzz among the WWE Universe, as the Aussie brought his talk show to the main roster, The Grayson Waller Effect, this past week, with Styles as the first guest. During the show, Waller claimed that he is excited to witness the coronation of The Visionary as the inaugural title holder.

AJ Styles recently spoke to the New York Post, hyping his upcoming matchup against Seth "Freakin" Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship.

After drawing comparisons to the heat that Waller receives from the audience to that of The Miz, Styles revealed that he is looking forward to another in-ring fight against the 33-year-old star. The duo last met in January 2022 on an episode of NXT.

"I think he’s [Grayson Waller] gonna do really well," Styles said. "I think he’s gonna take his place, wherever it might be on the roster, and it’s gonna go up. There’s no question about it. He’s got it. Whatever it is, he has it." [H/T: New York Post]

The veteran also added that Waller has the drive and work ethic he likes to see in a young performer.

Grayson Waller even recently revealed why he has to wrestle AJ Styles again, having moved to WWE's main roster.

AJ Styles already has several WWE Superstars targeting him on SmackDown

Aside from Grayson Waller, who has openly admitted that he will stand as a strong opposition to The Phenomenal One, Karrion Kross revealed on SmackDown this past week that Styles is his next target. The duo will face each other on the go-home edition of the Friday night show ahead of Night of Champions.

Meanwhile, Waller's proclamation during his talk show has evoked a sense of curiosity for the upcoming World Heavyweight Championship bout: Will the NXT-call up cost AJ Styles his match against Seth "Freakin" Rollins?
