Grayson Waller stirs the pot with popular WWE tag team
Grayson Waller and Austin Theory are two of WWE's young stalwarts who already have a tag team championship reign under their belt. Ahead of the company's deal with Netflix officially commencing on January 6, 2025, Waller appears to be hungry for gold.
This past Friday, Chad Gable informed Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes that some wrestlers from both brands would be transferred soon. Elsewhere on the show, Johnny Gargano betrayed The Motor City Machine Guns during the latter's match with DIY. It was revealed that Gargano was in on Tommaso Ciampa's heel turn a few weeks ago.
DIY subsequently cut short MCMG's reign, winning the belt for the second time on the main roster. On X/Twitter, Grayson Waller fired shots at the new WWE Tag Team Champions, who appeared to be a ride-or-die babyface duo before the shocking turn of events. The Aussie Icon called them "hypocrites."
"Hey Siri! Show me two hypocrites," Waller wrote.
While it remains to be seen whether A-Town Down Under joins the red brand when it moves to Netflix, they are worthy contenders to win tag team gold on either show.
Grayson Waller gets honest to put over Austin Theory, calls him the future of WWE
Austin Theory has received some flak from the WWE Universe for his seemingly underwhelming reign as the United States Champion between 2022 and 2023. His time as Mr. Money in the Bank didn't receive many positive reactions either. But behind the scenes, Theory is often put over by major players in the game as a hard worker and someone who will eventually rise through the ranks.
In a sit-down interview with Chris Van Vliet recently, Grayson Waller echoed the abovementioned sentiment. He believed fans who viewed Theory as a run-of-the-mill performer in WWE were "idiots."
"I'm grateful for Austin Theory," Grayson Waller began. "That's a great tag partner. That's one of the most underrated performers in the industry. I don't think people understand that, but they will. Austin Theory has everything it takes to be the biggest guy in the company. There's a reason he is always in there with Randy Orton, Kevin Owens, Seth Rollins, and John Cena. And if you idiots don't get that, you will one day."
