"Gunther is absolutely zero" - Wrestling veteran details how WWE might have ruined the Intercontinental Champion on RAW (Exclusive)
Former WWE head writer Vince Russo recently spoke about the Intercontinental Champion Gunther losing his dominant run after being drafted to RAW.
After making his debut on the red brand last week, The Ring General was in action in a six-man tag team match on this week's RAW. Gunther led his faction Imperium into battle against the Undisputed Tag Team Champions Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens, accompanied by Matt Riddle.
On the latest episode of Legion of RAW, Vince Russo said that he hated this week's show. He explained that the red brand had killed off any momentum that Gunther had coming in. He questioned how The Austrian Bruiser was dominated by Sami Zayn.
The wrestling veteran also stated that the likes of Apollo Crews, Shinsuke Nakamura, and Zoey Stark weren't doing any better either.
"This show was hot garbage - hot, hot garbage." Russo continued, "This is their best effort, this is it bro. This is the show. We've seen this for years. I got some takeaways from this show. Apollo Crews didn't run enough. He didn't get enough running. Gunther is now nothing because Sami Zayn beat him up. So Gunther is absolutely zero. Imperium means zero. Nakamura should ask if he could go back to SmackDown because he's done on RAW. Zoey Stark apparently works out and climbs ropes. She climbs ropes. On my God!" [From 15:15 - 16:20]

Gunther had a tough night on Monday Night RAW
It was a tough outing for the whole of Imperium this week on RAW. The faction started the night by interrupting Sami Zayn and KO during a promo session. They mounted a surprise attack on the Undisputed Tag Team Champions, only to be foiled as Matt Riddle came to their rescue.
Later in the main event, Kevin Owens and Riddle neutralized the Intercontinental Champion outside the ring, allowing Sami Zayn to hit a vicious Helluva Kick on Giovanni Vinci. The Prizefighter then hit a Swanton Bomb to seal the win for his team.
It will be interesting to see how this loss impacts the Ring General as he defends the Intercontinental Championship against Mustafa Ali at Night of Champions this Saturday in Saudi Arabia.
