Gunther has no chance against Randy Orton; ex-WWE employee exposes a major booking flaw (Exclusive)

Former WWE head writer, Vince Russo was not convinced about Gunther's chances at Bash in Berlin. The star is set to defend the World Heavyweight Championship against Randy Orton on August 31.

The Ring General had a stellar run as the Intercontinental Champion, holding the gold for a record 666-day reign. However, the title run came to an abrupt end at WrestleMania XL when Sami Zayn defeated him to become the new title holder.

During a recent episode of The Wrestling Outlaws, Russo expressed concern over Triple H's 50-50 booking. He questioned how Gunther could even deal with a vicious competitor like Randy Orton when he lost to Sami Zayn at WrestleMania earlier this year.

"I still can't get past the fact that freaking, how is Gunther gonna beat Randy Orton if Sami Zayn beat him? I still can't get past that, I'm sorry man," he said. [From 10:17 onwards]

This past week on the red brand, the World Heavyweight Champion was incredibly disrespectful to The Viper, insulting his family and lineage. Randy Orton then shocked everyone as he struck down The Ring General with a vicious RKO. It will be interesting to see if the champion has a response for the Apex Predator this week on Monday Night RAW.
