The Ring General restored prestige to the title in a historic reign that lasted 666 days. After losing the belt to Sami Zayn at WrestleMania 40, the Ring General had his eyes set on bigger goals.

Gunther competed in the King of the Ring tournament and emerged victorious. As a result, he will now challenge Damian Priest for the World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam. The Ring General has appeared in video packages for the past few weeks, explaining how he will bring prestige back to the World Heavyweight Championship.

Tonight on WWE RAW, The Ring General appeared in another video, explaining that WWE desperately needed him to create a new mountaintop. He then praised Seth Rollins' reign as world champion but also mentioned that his work ethic led to his downfall. He also noted that Drew McIntyre lost his title in five minutes because he lost focus.

The Ring General mentioned that Damian Priest is already starting to crack under the pressure. He then said he was the only one who could restore prestige to the gold and he would win the title at SummerSlam.
