Gunther facing Brock Lesnar can no longer be booked by WWE, veteran explains why (Exclusive)
Over the last couple of years, the WWE Universe has been fantasy-booking Brock Lesnar vs Gunther. However, a veteran thinks that this match will remain a fantasy as it is no longer an option.
The Beast Incarnate was recently indirectly mentioned by both Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes, which led to rumors of his return. While there is no official information about it at this point, many have taken to question who Brock may face if he does return to action.
Speaking on Sportskeeda's Writing with Russo, Vince Russo was asked about whether he would like to see The Ring General face Brock Lesnar. The WWE veteran had an unenthusiastic answer:
"I gotta be honest with you bro, and I can't get this out of my head. I can't get past Sami Zayn beating Gunther. I just can't... And then not only that, then Gunther didn't wanna wrestle him? (...) So Gunther didn't wanna wrestle Sami Zayn, but he is gonna wanna wrestle Brock Lesnar? I mean think about that!" [From 01:44 to 02:13]

The WWE veteran is not happy with Gunther's booking
According to Vince Russo, WWE Creative has made some big mistakes in terms of shaping The Ring General's storyline. In particular, Russo made it clear that Sami Zayn beating Gunther should never have happened. Adding to his previous comments on Writing with Russo, the veteran said:
"They haven't done Gunther any favors like I said by being afraid to wrestle Sami Zayn. I mean that's what I am saying bro like I told you on the other show, I am so confused by some of the stuff they do man. And that's the problem now Mac, because of the way that they booked Gunther, when you tell me Brock Lesnar, and bro I am a fan of Gunther. I really am bro. When you tell me Brock Lesnar, I am like Brock Lesnar will kill this guy, based on the way they've booked him!" [From 02:43 to 03:13]
For now, fans will have to stay tuned to see what is next for Gunther in WWE.
