Gunther to "light up" Randy Orton in epic showdown at Bash in Berlin, claims former WWE manager (Exclusive)

Former WWE manager Dutch Mantell recently spoke about Gunther facing Randy Orton. The two stars are set to collide for the World Heavyweight Championship at the Bash in Berlin Premium Live Event this week.

The Ring General will have overwhelming support as he takes on The Viper at Bash in Berlin 2024. However, Orton made it clear that Gunther probably does not have what it takes to defeat him cleanly. He claimed that this was his opportunity to become a 15-time World Champion.

While speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Smack Talk podcast, Mantell claimed that WWE has big plans for the Austrian star and he would go over clean. The veteran felt that it would be a simple match with Randy putting over the champion. He predicted that there would be some physicality in the matchup and that The Ring General could light up Orton with his vicious chops.

"Gunther to go over, however he wanted to do it and anything that Orton would agree to. Just go out there. They will come up with something like that, that's a straight up deal. They will have a hell of a match and Gunther is gonna light him up like a Christmas tree," Dutch Mantell said. [17:55 - 18:12]

During the same conversation, Mantell also detailed that fans would enjoy the action. He pointed out that fans in Europe did not get as many WWE live shows as fans in the United States of America.

"The fans will enjoy that. See, the fans in Europe, they don't see WWE live events that much. So, they're live. What was the town they were in France? Lyon. That crowd was electric. This wasn't as electric as that one but they were alive," Dutch Mantell said. [18:19 - 18:39]
