Gunther mocks current rival with four-word message following WWE SmackDown
World Heavyweight Champion Gunther delivered a four-word message today on social media following his confrontation with a major WWE star this past Friday night on SmackDown. The veteran is scheduled for a marquee match at Crown Jewel next month in Saudi Arabia.
The Ring General and Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes had a face-to-face this past Friday night on the blue brand ahead of their Crown Jewel Championship match at the premium live event on November 2. During the promo between Rhodes and Gunther on SmackDown, the World Heavyweight Champion accused Rhodes of being dramatic ahead of their clash at Crown Jewel and followed it up with a four-word message today on social media.
"No need for drama," he said.
Triple H introduced the Crown Jewel Championships earlier this month at Bad Blood. Nia Jax and Liv Morgan are set to compete for the Women's Crown Jewel Championship at the event next weekend.
WWE legend predicts interesting finish for Cody Rhodes and Gunther's match at Crown Jewel
Bully Ray (formerly known as Bubba Ray Dudley) recently predicted that there would be an interesting finish for the Crown Jewel Championship match between Cody Rhodes and Gunther on November 2.
Speaking on Busted Open Radio, the legend stated that he did not envision the match ending clean at WWE Crown Jewel. Bully Ray predicted that Kevin Owens would interfere in the bout and help the leader of Imperium emerge victorious. Owens attacked Rhodes in the parking lot earlier this month at WWE Bad Blood.
"I think at the Saudi show, neither one can get the win clean. My personal opinion is, the way out of it, little chicanery, maybe a ref bump or behind the ref's back, something something, Owens interferes. It's quick, Owens and Cody have the animosity, Gunther gets the win, raises the championship above his head. The next week, RAW or SmackDown, now we're off to the races with Kevin and Cody," he said.
