Gunther reacts to major WWE announcement
WWE recently made a huge announcement regarding Gunther's appearance on a show this year. The Ring General recently shared a social media update, reacting to the same.
The Stamford-based company will hold its first-ever premium live event in Germany named Bash in Berlin. The show scheduled for August 31 is expected to have several top stars, including Cody Rhodes, Damian Priest, Drew McIntyre, Gunther, and more. The go-home edition of SmackDown for the event will also air live from Uber Arena in Berlin.
WWE Deutschland took to Instagram earlier today to urge fans to book their ticket for the SmackDown before the premium live event. The social media update also revealed that the former Intercontinental Champion will meet fans before the show. Gunther shared the post on his Instagram story, however, it is still unclear if he will compete on the blue brand's show before Bash in Berlin.

WWE veteran claims fans are not interested in Damian Priest vs. Gunther rivalry
The Ring General won the King of The Ring Tournament in May. Along with the crown, he also won an opportunity to challenge for the World Heavyweight Championship at The Biggest Party of The Summer. The former NXT Champion will face The Judgment Day's Damian Priest for the title this Saturday.
Ahead of their match, the two superstars have been involved in heated conversations on recent editions of Monday Night RAW. This week's episode of red brand ended with a brawl between Priest and Gunther with the champion getting the upper hand. Speaking Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW, former WWE head writer Vince Russo stated that he believes the crowd has no interest in the rivalry.
"When they got to the very end and it was Gunther and Priest and they were fighting. What did you see? All you saw was this- [people on their phones]. That’s all you saw. They are taking pictures so they can show them to people at work tomorrow. They don’t care what’s going on. If you’re into something, you’re not on your phone because you don’t wanna miss it. That’s telling you they don’t care." [From 1:10:08 onwards]
