Gunther says it wasn't his dream to join WWE; makes major promise about SummerSlam

Former Intercontinental Champion Gunther admitted during the latest episode of RAW that it wasn't his dream to join WWE. He also made a major promise about SummerSlam.

Ever since his arrival in WWE, Gunther has been a force to be reckoned with. He dominated NXT for years before making it to the main roster. Once he arrived on SmackDown, The Ring General embarked on a historic Intercontinental Championship reign which lasted a record-breaking 666 days making him the longest-reigning IC Champion in history.

After losing the title, he went on to win the King of the Ring tournament, earning him a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam. Tonight on RAW, a vignette of the Ring General played where he admitted that it was never his dream to join WWE.

He also mentioned that there was no originality before he got here. He continued to say that he joined SmackDown after dominating NXT and became the greatest Intercontinental Champion in history. He also promised to restore prestige to the World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam.

Gunther is set to come face to face World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest tonight on WWE RAW ahead of their major title match at SummerSlam. The two behemoths are set for a heated feud leading up to their huge match at the Biggest Party of the Summer.
