Gunther sends 4-word message before RAW
Gunther had a short four-word message to his followers ahead of Monday's episode of WWE RAW. The reigning World Heavyweight Champion got his measure of revenge on Sami Zayn by beating him last week to retain his title.
Six months after losing his Intercontinental Championship to Zayn at WrestleMania 40, the Austrian Superstar put his World Heavyweight Title on the line last week. The two stars had another hard-hitting match, with The Ring General using his power and ring intelligence to put his rival away.
In a post on his Instagram, the World Heavyweight Champion shared a reel of his big win over Zayn. He also wrote a four-word caption, taking a shot at his fallen foe and whoever supported his underdog run.
"All hope is gone," Gunther wrote.
After the match, The Ring General was confronted by the Undisputed WWE Champion, Cody Rhodes. The two top champs are set to clash at Crown Jewel in Riyadh early next month to determine the 2024 men's Crown Jewel Champion.
Heading into their battle, Gunther might have the edge over Rhodes due to a lot of factors surrounding the Undisputed WWE Champion. The American Nightmare was recently attacked by his former friend, Kevin Owens, while also trying to digest The Rock's surprise appearance at Bad Blood after he teamed up with his former rival, Roman Reigns.
The Undertaker thinks legendary WWE star could take Gunther to the next level
Speaking on the most recent episode of his Six Feet Under podcast, The Undertaker wished that he could have wrestled Gunther and made a lot of money in the process. The Deadman also mentioned Brock Lesnar as someone still on the WWE roster who could propel The Ring General to the upper echelon of stars.
"It would propel Gunther to even another level to work a program with Brock. To the heights that I think Brock could bring him to would be, make him untouchable. Because he already has, he has his own style, he has his own pace, and everything else. But to work with somebody, a beast like Brock, would push him to levels that I’m not sure there’s anybody on the roster right now that does that," The Undertaker said. [H/T - 411Mania]
While there's no update on Brock Lesnar's potential return, one legend who's been linked to a match against the man formerly known as WALTER is Bill Goldberg. The two almost had a physical confrontation at Bad Blood, with Goldberg teasing The Ring General as "next."
