Gunther vs Cody Rhodes at Crown Jewel could end in only one way, feels WWE Hall of Famer
Cody Rhodes has been making headlines all around the world since WWE Bad Blood 2024. Though he has been facing issues with his former friend, Kevin Owens, he has a massive match scheduled at WWE Crown Jewel.
Crown Jewel will feature Cody Rhodes vs. Gunther in a singles match to determine the Crown Jewel Champion. With both men being world champions and at the peak of their respective careers, it is hard to say who would pick up the win and who would face the massive loss.
On a recent edition of the Busted Open podcast, Bully Ray addressed the upcoming match at Crown Jewel and stated that neither man can pick up a clean win. Rather, outside interference from Kevin Owens would bring out the perfect result, leading to Gunther winning the match and Owens and Rhodes intensifying their feud.
"I think at the Saudi show, neither one can get the win clean. I think, in my personal opinion, the way out of it is a little chicanery—maybe a ref bump or something behind the ref's back. Something, something... Owens interferes. It's quick. Owens and Cody have the animosity. Gunther gets the win... now we're off to the races with Kevin and Cody," said the Hall of Famer. Kevin Owens has given an ultimatum to WWE following attack on Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton
After unleashing shocking attacks on both Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton, Kevin Owens recently addressed his future in the company. In a post on X (fka Twitter), Owens sent out a video addressing his attacks and stated that he was not allowed to be present on the upcoming episode of SmackDown.
Further, he also revealed that he issued a video for WWE to feature on RAW, but the company decided not to go with it. The former Universal Champion stated that he would wait until this Friday, and if WWE doesn't release the video package, he would upload it on social media.
The Kevin Owens-Cody Rhodes storyline has intensified a lot, thanks to the amazing way WWE decided to present the betrayal. Fans will now have to wait and see what happens when the video is made public.
