Liv Morgan retained her Women’s World Championship by defeating Rhea Ripley at the show. WWE fans also saw Dominik Mysterio betray Mami at the event.
Hailey Welch took to social media after the show to express her feelings about the match. It looks like Rhea and Liv impressed her with their in-ring skills as she noted that she was into women’s wrestling after the contest.

A former WWE star wasn't impressed by Rhea Ripley and Liv Morgan’s match at SummerSlam
Hailey Welch (Hawk Tuah GIrl) seemed thoroughly entertained by the contest between two of RAW’s top stars. However, a former WWE Superstar was not as impressed with the storyline and the finish of the match.
During an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda Wrestling, Afa Anao’i Jr. spoke about how WWE was lazy with the booking of Liv Morgan and Rhea Ripley's match.
"So match number one, I really enjoyed. It was a really hard worked match. What didn't hit for me was the finish. I thought that the match outweighed the finish. And a lot of times, I'd like to see the finish outweigh the match. It was just to me, very, very predictable. Just the way Dom slid the chair in, jumped up, and grabbed the ref was very lazy. It was just lazy. You know, match number one is the tone-setter of the show. Really good match and I just feel the finish could've been executed better."
WWE fans will likely get a few more matches between Liv Morgan and Rhea Ripley in their ongoing rivalry. It could lead to something big for both superstars who are carrying the RAW women’s roster.
