Hall of Famer JBL threatens to hijack a world title outside WWE
WWE legend JBL has been making several appearances on multiple wrestling promotions lately. Recently, he made a surprise appearance in a company outside the Stamford-based promotion. He even sent a threat to hijack a world title from TNA.
The WWE Hall of Famer was seen in a backstage segment of TNA Wrestling, where he entered the locker room of the heel faction, The System. Reacting to a clip of the segment on X, a fan said the company should already put a belt on JBL.
In response, the veteran stated that he could annex a title if he wanted to.
“I’ll clothesline someone to get it,” he wrote.
JBL is already involved with a former WWE Superstar who is a TNA World Champion
For several weeks, JBL has made several appearances where he has helped Nic Nemeth win his matches. The former Dolph Ziggler is the reigning TNA World Champion in his first reign. The WWE legend even helped Nemeth at the Bound For Glory pay-per-view against Joe Hendry.
Layfield clotheslined Hendry and special guest referee Frankie Kazarian, who tried to dethrone Nemeth by cashing in his Call Your Shot privilege. While JBL saved the day for the reigning champion, Nic was unaware of the interference and simply pinned Hendry to retain his title.
Following this save, the Hall of Famer took to X and reacted to a video clip of his mean clotheslines to Hendry and Kazarian.
“I am the Keeper, guardian of professional wrestling,” he wrote.
With his connection to the TNA World Champion and now a secret locker room meeting with a heel faction, it would be interesting to see what JBL plans to do next.
