Hall of Famer points out subtle detail about CM Punk's WWE Clash at the Castle appearance (Exclusive)

CM Punk appeared at WWE Clash at the Castle: Scotland, solely to cost Drew McIntyre a title win. While the segment was very entertaining, NWA Hall of Famer Bill Apter explained a certain aspect of Punk's character that he noticed, which most fans might have missed.

The Second City Saint's rivalry with Drew McIntyre has gripped the WWE audience for months, with the two stars never hesitating to taunt each other. During Clash at the Castle in Scotland, he was on the verge of dethroning Damian Priest before Punk came in as a referee and did not count the pinfall. As a result, the Judgment Day member recovered and retained his World Heavyweight Championship.

Speaking on Sportskeeda's UnSKripted, Bill Apter stated that based on the audience reaction, CM Punk may never be able to turn a complete heel again:

"I don't if in the Drew McIntyre-CM Punk situation when Punk left the ring as the 'referee,' did you notice the fans embracing him and yelling out CM Punk? No matter what he does, I don't think the fans are ever gonna turn against him again. I mean, we are in Drew's hometown!" the Hall of Famer noted. [21:42 onwards]

As of now, fans will have to stay tuned to see how the feud between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre pans out in WWE.
