"Hats off" - Real-life Bloodline member heaps praise on LA Knight after major WWE achievement (Exclusive)
A real-life member of The Bloodline had nothing but praise for LA Knight following his match on WWE SmackDown last Friday. Afa Anoa'i Jr. was impressed with Knight's title defense against Andrade that opened the show.
The Megastar successfully defended his United States Championship last Friday to open SmackDown by beating Andrade in a hard-hitting match. They showed respect to each other after the match, with the fans in Ontario, California, cheering them on.
On the latest episode of the Enter the Bloodline podcast, presented by Sportskeeda Wrestling, co-host Afa Anoa'i Jr., famously known as Manu in WWE, discussed the match involving Knight and Andrade. He liked how the finish went without a hitch and the two superstars had the crowd in the palm of their hands.
"Excellent. I mean that was expected. Those two could work. They're workhorses and it was just (…) I like the finishes when everything flows into the finish and you captivate the crowd and everything. You have them, that's what I like about it. They had them, hats off to them. Their hard work is paying off because they're getting over," Anoa'i Jr. said. [11:02 - 11:24]
The Enter the Bloodline podcast is hosted by Afa Anoa'i Jr. and Joe Lowry. It's part of the growing brand of Sportskeeda Wrestling, which also includes Backstage Pass, a subscription platform for everything pro wrestling.
As for LA Knight, it was his third successful championship defense since winning the title at WWE SummerSlam. He has already beaten Santos Escobar and Ludwig Kaiser on the August 23rd and August 30th episodes of SmackDown, respectively.
LA Knight explains why he is still intense during promos
During an interview with DISH Studio, LA Knight was asked about the feeling backstage now that he was the United States Champion. Knight explained that people were surprised that he was still intense and sounded angry during his promos.
LA Knight said he was on his toes now that he was expected to defend his title.
"I'll go in and I'll come out, my music will play, I'll come out to the ring, I'll say my piece, and in the back, people will be like, 'Why do you come off so angry? You're the champion. What's going on?' I'm like, 'I don't know.' There's something about it when I get here and I think about this and I think about everything that I’ve gone through to get here and I think about everything I need to continue to do to keep this going, there's just this fight mode that comes in, and I get in almost this angry state of mind, where I show up and I've got that game face on," Knight said. LA Knight doesn't have a new challenger lined up following his third successful title defense. There are plenty of options on SmackDown, as well as RAW, following WWE's announcement of the October 25 episode of the blue brand featuring stars from the red brand.
