"He conned his way into WWE" - Trick Williams fires massive shots at former AEW star
WWE Superstar Trick Williams left no stone unturned in firing shots at his arch-rival ahead of his title match on the upcoming Tuesday Night show. The name in question is the reigning NXT Champion Ethan Page.
All Ego was a member of All Elite Wrestling (AEW) promotion from 2021 to 2024. Earlier this year, he made his debut in WWE on the developmental brand, attacking Williams, the NXT Champion at the time.
At Heatwave 2024, Page captured the NXT Title by defeating Je'Von Evans, Shawn Spears, and Williams in a Fatal Four Way match. Tonight, on the White And Gold brand, All Ego is set to defend his NXT Championship against Trick Williams, with CM Punk serving as the Special Guest Referee.
In an interview with Chris Van Vliet on INSIGHT, the former NXT Champion accused Ethan Page of being dishonest in his WWE career. Trick Williams claimed that the former AEW star unfairly acquired the NXT Championship and used manipulative tactics to gain prominence within the company.
"He [Ethan Page] stole the title, he conned his way into WWE. He conned his way into the title picture. He conned the title of me. He ain’t gonna con his way into CW, enough is enough," he said. [H/T - CVV]

Trick Williams wants to face former WWE Champion in a dream match
The former NXT Champion recently picked Roman Reigns over Cody Rhodes as his dream opponent for a major reason.
During the same interaction with Chris Van Vliet on INSIGHT, Trick Williams shared that The Original Tribal Chief has been the "cornerstone" of the business for a while, and a high-profile match with him is something to anticipate. The 30-year-old also acknowledged The American Nightmare finishing his story at WWE WrestleMania XL.
"Roman Reigns. He's the top guy in the business right now. I mean, shout out to Cody Rhodes, who is amazing. I'm glad that he finished and started his new story. But Roman, he's the guy who's been the cornerstone of the business for a while now. So if you don't want to match with him, then you don't really want to be here," Williams said.
Only time will tell if Williams will be able to reclaim the NXT Title from Ethan Page tonight on the White And Gold brand's debut on The CW Network.
