"He got heat for that" - Wrestling veteran discusses how Braun Strowman killed his own push in WWE
WWE star Braun Strowman is one of the most dominant stars on the current roster. He is a former Universal Champion and is a member of the RAW roster.
Strowman started out as a member of the Wyatt Family and was once deemed to be an opponent for the legendary Undertaker. However, his career has gone through ups and downs since then. In his current run, the Monster of All Monsters has emerged as a force of destruction on RAW and is feuding with The Judgment Day.
On a recent episode of his Keepin' It 100 podcast, wrestling veteran Konnan claimed that Strowman was always over with the fans. The wrestling veteran felt that Braun didn't need great promos to be popular with the WWE Universe. He pointed out that the star lost his momentum when he mocked some fans on social media.
"We already told him he was over and he's trying to compare him to other guys that do great promos. He doesn't have to do great promos. They were doing cool sh*t with him before they cooled him off, not Strowman. Strowman cooled himself off when I think he was, I think, when he made fun of people online. Like, 'Oh too bad, you don't have a job.' So he got heat for that." [From 3:35 - 4:02]
Braun Strowman failed to qualify for the Money in the Bank Ladder match
This week on RAW, Braun Strowman faced off against Chad Gable and Bronson Reed in a Money in the Bank Triple Threat qualifying match.
Braun Strowman used his size advantage during the encounter. However, he was neutralized when The Judgment Day emerged to beat him down. Gable used this opening to hit a picture-perfect Moonsault on Bronson Reed to earn his spot in the coveted Money in the Bank Ladder Match.
As of this writing, Chad Gable, Carmelo Hayes, Jey Uso, and Andrade have qualified for the Men's Money in the Bank match. With a couple of spots still up for grabs, it will be interesting to see who else joins the fray.
