"He looks like a f**king star!" - 35-year-old WWE RAW Superstar is 'money,' according to Rene DupreeĀ
Former WWE Superstar Rene Dupree recently praised the current Intercontinental Champion Gunther.
The Ring General made his WWE debut in 2019. Over the next three years, he competed on NXT UK and NXT, winning the NXT UK Championship. The 35-year-old then made his main roster debut in April 2022. About two months later, he defeated Ricochet to capture the Intercontinental Championship. Gunther has now held the title for more than 340 days.
During a recent "RAW watch along" on Cafe de Rene, Dupree praised the leader of Imperium as he headed to the ring.
"This guy is money. He is money. [He lost a ton of weight too, huh?] Yeah, he got himself in great shape. Like this, having him the Intercontinental Champion brings prestige to that f**king title. You understand, because he looks like a f**king champion. You can see how he comes out with a nice robe and he looks like a f**king star! They're giving him a f**king run just like the old days, a year, 18 months, and when he loses it, it means something," he said. [0:11 to 0:59]

Gunther will face Mustafa Ali at WWE Night of Champions
Last month, Gunther squared off against Sheamus and Drew McIntyre in an Intercontinental Championship match at WrestleMania 39. Despite the challengers' efforts, the champion successfully retained his title.
Although Gunther did not compete at Backlash, he will be in action on May 27 at Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia. The Ring General is scheduled to defend his Intercontinental Championship against Mustafa Ali. Ali earned a shot at Gunther's title after winning a battle royal to determine the number one contender on the May 15 episode of RAW.
A former WWE Champion could "1000%" defeat Gunther for the Intercontinental Title, according to legend. Check out the details here.
