"He's going to tell me the truth" - Cody Rhodes reveals unique reason why he stays in touch with John Cena

Cody Rhodes has revealed that he stays in touch with John Cena for a unique reason. The American Nightmare is the reigning Undisputed WWE Champion and one of the company's highest-selling merch sellers.

Rhodes is currently feuding with The Bloodline. Following a victory over AJ Styles in an "I Quit" Match at Clash at the Castle: Scotland, he reignited his feud with the faction as Solo Sikoa confronted him.

Speaking in an interview on The Pivot, Rhodes revealed that he sends his merch numbers to Cena and gets the 16-time WWE World Champion's honest opinion.

Cody believes he needs someone to advise him truthfully, and Cena is that person.

"You have to have somebody look at it and break it down for you. That's the best thing that can happen because then you go, 'Okay, I have room to grow. Here is what I want to do.' I get my merch sheet still of what I sold in the Garden, percentage, all this. I'll tell you who I send it to. I don't send it to him as 'Hey, check it out.' I send it to him because I know he's going to tell me the truth. It's (John) Cena. It's never, 'Unbeliavable, great job, you're there. You've made it.' It's always, 'Well, why don't you check the other shows you're not on and see how you're doing there.' Come on, man," said Cody Rhodes. [H/T: Fightful]
