"He's a good-looking dude" - Female ex-WWE star seemingly reveals she had a crush on Shane McMahon
Former WWE Executive Shane McMahon has been married to his wife, Marissa, since 1996. However, a former WWE Superstar seemingly had a crush on him.
The former Diva in question is none other than Cherry. The 49-year-old joined The Stamford-based company in 2005 and debuted on the main roster nearly two years later. Nevertheless, her run ended in August 2008 when she was released from her contract.
In an interview with Wrestling Then And Now, Deuce 'n Domino's former manager was asked whether she had a relationship with Shane McMahon. She disclosed that she thought he was good-looking, seemingly revealing that she had a crush on him:
"Shane was just in passing too. He's huge. He's like a big dude [laughs]. So, to be able to wrestle, good for him because he's got the size on him. So, and good-looking. Did I just say that? [Laughs]. And he's a good-looking dude [laughs]. [Kara McMahon, what could've been?] Oh my God! He wouldn't have been able to handle me. I'm a little, yeah, no, we won't go there, anyway," she said. Shane McMahon is rumored to be heading to AEW after leaving WWE
Vince McMahon's son last appeared in the Stamford-based company in 2023 when he surprisingly returned at WrestleMania 39 to challenge The Miz to a match. However, he tore his quad during the square-off, leading to Snoop Dogg replacing him.
Earlier this year, rumors suggested the 54-year-old was no longer under contract with WWE. He was later spotted in a meeting with AEW co-owner Tony Khan amid speculations of Shane potentially joining the promotion. Former WWE star and Shane O'Mac's close friend Pete Gas recently addressed these speculations on AdFreeShows:
"Never say never. That’s the only thing I can say. I don’t know. The history behind Shane, and everyone, Shane loves to kayfabe. Shane is not going to let anything out that he doesn’t want out. It’s funny because they teased that whole thing with him meeting with Khan. It piques people’s interest. You never say never with Shane. He lives for that moment," he said. [Ringside News]
While none of Vince McMahon's family members are still in the Stamford-based company, except his son-in-law Triple H, it would be interesting to see if Shane would be the first McMahon to jump ship to AEW.
