"He's kind of been my stepdad" - Dominik Mysterio on former WWE World Champion
WWE star Dominik Mysterio is well aware of having serious "daddy issues" in his life. Meanwhile, The Judgment Day star heavily praised a former world champion, referring to the latter as his "stepdad."
Dirty Dom shockingly betrayed his WWE Hall of Famer father Rey Mysterio in 2022. Since joining The Judgment Day, he has become a vicious heel and has publicly labeled Rey a "deadbeat dad." The former NXT North American Champion has even gone as far as questioning his mother about the possibility of the late Eddie Guerrero being his biological father due to the uncanny resemblance between the two.
In the latest interview on the Bootleg Kev podcast, Dominik Mysterio spoke highly of former WWE Universal Champion Finn Balor, praising The Demon's in-ring expertise and guidance. Dirty Dom considers The Prince a mentor and almost a "stepdad" figure, having learned a lot from him since the first time they met in 2017.
"It's honestly been so fun just being able to pick his [Finn Balor's] brain and being in matches with him, and him guiding me through certain things, and just seeing how he puts things together. It shows why he's one of the greatest of all, especially in-ring wise; he's the man! I first met him in 2017, and ever since he's kind of been my stepdad," he said. [From 13:27 to 13:53]
