"He's not the same" - Wrestling legend points out massive flaw in Finn Balor's presentation in WWE
Finn Balor has been one of the biggest stars in WWE for nearly a decade. A wrestling legend believes he could have been so much more had the company given him the right character.
WWE and ECW legend Sabu was one of the most unique wrestlers in his days. The daredevil put on some of the craziest and most extreme matches in the ring to entertain fans.
Sabu named a member of the WWE roster who had been watered down by the creative team while speaking to Covalent. He noted that Finn had a lot of potential, but the company did not give him the platform to go all out and prove himself.
"Finn Balor, but then they programmed him to be one of them. Nothing against it. Nothing personal. But he's not the same," Sabu said.
He added that it was evident that the star had all the potential. However, WWE did not use him to his fullest and kept him watered down.
"I could see when things didn't go right, it didn't bother him. Same with me. When things didn't go right, that was my best stuff," added the legend. (H/T Wrestling Inc.)
Finn Balor has played a key role in Judgment Day’s success on RAW. The Prince and JD McDonagh recently lost the World Tag Team Championship to War Raiders on the most recent episode of RAW.
Sabu hoped to fight WWE star Finn Balor someday
Many big names would have loved to have a match against Sabu in their careers. Meanwhile, the legendary star wanted to have a match against the Judgment Day member.
Sabu noted that he watched Balor wrestle in Scotland. He loved the way Balor fought in the ring and wanted to face him, but injuries prevented him.
"I like Finn Balor. I've seen him wrestle in Ireland, no... Scotland a couple of times, not too long before he became Finn Balor. I always wanted to wrestle him, then he became [Finn] Balor. I really love(d) (him). So I said, 'Hey, man someday, (let's) get together.' He said, 'Of course.' But then it never happened because I got hurt," Sabu said.
Many WWE fans are hoping to see The Prince get a push on the main roster and potentially get another world title run. However, he has failed to win a singles title for a long time in the company.
