Heartbreaking Randy Orton stat comes to light ahead of major WWE title match
WWE Superstar Randy Orton is one of the greatest wrestlers to ever step inside the Stamford-based promotion's ring. However, a heartbreaking stat has recently come to light regarding Orton's win/loss record at the biggest shows in recent years.
The Apex Predator joined World Wrestling Entertainment in 2000 and started performing for the company's then-developmental territory, Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW). He was shifted to the main roster in 2002 and quickly became famous for his incredible in-ring ability. The Viper went on to become one of the most decorated stars in WWE and is still going strong at the highest level.
After confronting World Heavyweight Champion Gunther on last week's edition of Monday Night RAW, Randy Orton is looking to add another world title to his arsenal at Bash in Berlin.
However, according to the CageMatch database, Orton's win/loss record during WWE's Premium Live Events has not been great in recent years. His last singles PLE win came 1219 days ago at WrestleMania 37, where he locked horns with The Fiend, a character played by the late great Bray Wyatt.
It is an extremely heartbreaking stat because Randy Orton has been at the top of his game for more than two decades, and many believe he deserves to be booked better in future matches. It will be interesting to see if The Viper will win against Gunther at Bash in Berlin or if the legend's losing streak in PLEs will continue.
WWE Hall of Famer was full of praise for Randy Orton's incredible physique since returning from injury
During a recent edition of Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Time Machine, WWE Hall of Famer Teddy Long shared a story of him training a little bit with Randy Orton.
Long also mentioned that he believed The Apex Predator's physique looked phenomenal since he returned to television at the Survivor Series: WarGames Premium Live Event.
"I trained with him a little bit too, you know. He is a guy who stays in the gym and keeps himself in good shape... You gotta stay in good condition and good shape to do this job. So, like you said, I saw him too. He looks phenomenal."
