"Heck yeah" - WWE legend's son makes shocking admission about 'beating' The Rock (Exclusive)
A WWE legend's son recently claimed that he has beaten the Rock, in a manner of speaking. However, he also admitted that he had a significant advantage over the star.
The Rock is arguably one of the biggest names in wrestling today, despite being semi-active in the ring. Before his rise to fame, in his childhood, he would often accompany his father Rocky Maivia Sr to his matches. In a few matches against WWE legend Harley Race, Rock and Harley's son Justin Race apparently wrestled each other backstage for fun.
Speaking on Sportskeeda's UnSKripted, Justin recalled times when he had beaten The Rock in these casual fights. He admitted that he had a sort of advantage of The Great One.
"Talk about Dwayne Johnson. When his father Rocky was wrestling dad in Kansas City at Memorial Hall, there was a big red curtain there. Dwayne and I used to play back there behind that curtain. And we poke through and see what our dads were doing in the ring and then we'd try to emulate it back back in the wood floors. [On being asked if he had defeated the Rock] Oh heck ya... Dad was older than Rocky (Maivia Sr.) so Dwayne was little younger than me, so I had a little bit of an advantage. " [14:15 onwards]
The Rock is currently away from WWE at the moment but is expected to reprise his role as The Final Boss when he returns to The Bloodline.
