"Horrible and traumatizing" - 27-year-old star comments following WWE SmackDown
WWE SmackDown is gearing up for the Clash at the Castle: Scotland Premium Live Event. The PLE will take place on June 15 at the OVO Hydro in Glasgow. Meanwhile, a popular star was horrified and traumatized after suffering a devastating loss on Friday Night SmackDown.
Earlier this year, The Way got drafted to SmackDown during the annual WWE Draft. Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano joined the men's tag team division, and Indi Hartwell and Candice LeRae continued their work in the women's tag team division of the blue brand.
Unlike their counterparts, Hartwell and LeRae have been struggling on the main roster for a while. On the recent episode of Friday Night SmackDown, the duo lost to the Women's Tag Team Champions Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair. After another devastating loss, Indi Hartwell went on X (formerly Twitter) and sent out a five-word message.
"Tonight was horrible and traumatizing."
Indi Hartwell and Candice LeRae received two title shots at the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships
A few years ago, Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell of The Way reached the top of the women's tag team division on NXT when they captured the NXT Women's Tag Team Championships.
Later, both stars eventually made it to WWE's main roster and joined Monday Night RAW. The two reformed the tag team and started working together.
Unfortunately, both stars failed to recreate the same magic on the main roster. Earlier this year, Candie LeRae and Indi Hartwell faced the Kabuki Warriors for the titles at Elimination Chamber 2024.
Sadly, the hometown advantage couldn't help the team win the titles. Later, they entered into a feud with Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair on Friday Night SmackDown after the annual WWE Draft.
The Way received another title shot at King & Queen of the Ring 2024. However, the two failed to capture the gold again.
