Huge botch involving two former Royal Rumble winners during WWE RAW

A huge botch was made by a WWE legend during the latest edition of Monday Night RAW which involved former Royal Rumble winners Drew McIntyre and Shinsuke Nakamura. The legend being referred to is Michael Cole.

On the latest episode of the red brand, McIntyre cut a promo where he complained about CM Punk attacking him from behind at WrestleMania XL and again interfering to cost him a World Heavyweight Championship shot on RAW. The Scottish Warrior was then interrupted by Sheamus ahead of the latter's clash against Nakamura. The Celtic Warrior told his 20-year-long friend to stop complaining and start owning up to his mistakes.

After their conversation, Shinsuke Nakamura came out for his match against Sheamus. However, WWE legend Michael Cole made a huge botch during The King of Strong Style's entrance, calling him McIntyre.

"For the first time ever, it's McIntyre vs. Sheamus live next," Michael Cole said.

This incident added to the long list of botches made by the Stamford-based promotion.

WWE NXT commentator hailed Michael Cole as the greatest of all time

During a recent interview with SEScoops' Scott Fishman for TV Insider, WWE NXT commentator Vic Joseph hailed Michael Cole as the greatest of all time and said that he had learned a lot from the RAW commentator.

"Michael Cole is the greatest of all time. I’ll say it again. He is the greatest of all time. I’ve learned so much from him. Here’s the thing about Michael Cole. He doesn’t want me to be Michael Cole. He doesn’t want Corey Graves to be Michael Cole. We all have our own distinct voices. It’s how you as a listener hear it. When I went to NXT, I didn’t want to be Mauro [Ranallo]. I don’t want to be Michael Cole. I want to be myself," Vic Joseph said.

Michael Cole has been working for World Wrestling Entertainment since 1997 and is still going strong as the number one choice for commentating on the Stamford-based promotion's shows.
