Hulk Hogan has had 23 surgeries in the last 10 years
Professional wrestling has always gotten a bad rap for being fake. Many people who don't understand the way the business works label it as fake and move on. But the reality is a bit more complex. Unlike any other sport, there is no off season in wrestling.
Additionally, wrestlers still put their body on the line even though the result is predetermined. Hence, people like Hulk Hogan are feeling the affects of their legendary actions over the years much later into their lives.
Hogan was part of the Vince McMahon Netflix documentary where he defended that wrestling was fake, stating he's had 23 surgeries in 10 years due to his in-ring career.
“We were very protective of the business because wrestling is not fake. It's predetermined, it's exhibition, but I can tell you, in the last 10 years, I've had 23 surgeries. So, if that's fake, please explain it to me. I didn't get the memo," Hogan said.
Clearly, Hogan is feeling the after affects of his legendary career several years later.
