"I have no bad blood with it" - Rising star addresses shocking WWE release
Many stars have been released in WWE under Triple H's regime, and more roster cuts will eventually happen in the coming years. Meanwhile, Gable Steveson addressed his surprising release from the company in May 2024.
Earlier this year, Gable Steveson was released from the Stamford-based promotion under Triple H's regime. The rising star was under Shawn Michaels' creative leadership on the developmental brand, but the release came as a shock to many due to his amateur wrestling accolades.
In a recent press conference, Steveson addressed his shocking release from the Stamford-based company. The 24-year-old star said it wasn't the right time to join the promotion and has no bad blood or feelings toward it. Moreover, he added he could maybe return one day.
"The WWE, just wasn’t the right time. I had a lot of competitive edge in me and they knew that and it was just — it was not the time for it and so maybe one day if the stars are aligned, it’ll be a great opportunity to do it again. I have no bad feelings with it, I have no bad blood with it and I would like to keep moving forward with everything I have going on and the NFL situation (was) just definitely a great thing to do," Gableson said.
