"I don't care what kind of heat I get" - WWE veteran shares his thoughts on controversial segment involving IYO SKY and Kairi Sane (Exclusive)
WWE Superstar Carlito recently made headlines after a rather controversial segment involving Kairi Sane and IYO SKY. A veteran also commented on the matter, sharing his thoughts.
Carlito had a backstage segment on RAW, during which he entered a room to discuss his future with Adam Pearce. Just before, however, he saw Kairi and IYO exiting and made a remark about how he should learn Chinese. This allegedly improvised line apparently created a buzz, with some feeling it was offensive, considering both the female stars are not Chinese.
On Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Outlaws, Vince Russo was asked to share his thoughts on the matter. He said:
"I mean, I am gonna tell you... I don't care what kind of heat I get. I am telling you the truth. If somebody was speaking to me in Japanese and somebody was speaking to me in Chinese, I wouldn't know which is which. I am just being honest, I wouldn't know." [5:55 onwards]

The WWE veteran used an example to justify his point
Vince Russo also made it clear that he does not think the incident was anything that warranted such scrutiny.
In addition to his previous comments on Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Outlaws, the WWE veteran gave an example of how he would behave if somebody mistook his native language or anything about his identity. He stated:
"If I run into somebody in the WWE locker room and I start talking, and they say to me, 'Oh, you're from Boston.' Like, I am supposed to be offended by that? I don't know like, what are the rules here? I don't understand the rules." [9:11 onwards]
For now, fans will have to stay tuned to see what Carlito does next.
