"I cried after that phone call" - 3-time World Champion comments on a potential WWE Hall of Fame induction
WWE's Hall of Fame immortalizes wrestlers and other personalities for their work and their legacy is celebrated for generations to come. Meanwhile, three-time world champion, Jeff Hardy commented on a potential entry into the illustrious club.
The legendary duo of Jeff and Matt Hardy has conquered the tag team division across the globe under different promotions in the past two decades. And now the time for a potential Hall of Fame induction could be around the corner for The Hardy Boyz.
In an appearance on the Busted Open podcast, Jeff Hardy addressed a potential WWE Hall of Fame induction. The three-time WWE world champion said he had turned down the company's first offer for him to enter the coveted club without his brother. The star was in tears as he rejected the glorious opportunity, but wouldn't want to enter the Hall of Fame without Matt Hardy.
"For sure, man. When I denied it the first time, it didn't feel right going in there without Matt [Hardy]. I mean I cried after that phone call. I was just thinking about all the really cool moments I've given to the pro-wrestling world. I'm so proud of it, but it didn't feel right at all. So, I just wanted to wait. If I did do this, I'm definitely doing that with Matt, you know. It'll be a Hardy Boyz thing. I just want one ring, I don't want two rings," Hardy said. [From 13:00 to 13:30]

The Hardy Boyz are interested in another WWE run
In 2017, The Hardy Boyz made a spectacular return to WWE and became the new RAW Tag Team Champions at The Showcase of The Immortals. The duo were successful in the Stamford-based promotion, and they've proven their worth in the industry on multiple occasions.
In an exclusive with Bill Apter for Sportskeeda Wrestling, Matt Hardy stated that he and his brother would like to capture the NXT Tag Team Championship as that's the only one missing from their list of accolades. He also felt great about the collaboration between TNA and WWE's developmental brand.
"In wrestling never say never, and I will say that the NXT Tag Team titles are not on our list of titles that we've won, so we are interested in that. And I think this crossover between NXT and TNA's great. It's exciting, it's unpredictable, and I think that's a positive for the business and the industry," said Matt. [2:10 – 2:26]

After spending a few years at AEW, the legendary duo recently appeared on TNA Wrestling, which currently has a working relationship with WWE. It bears watching if the veteran tag team of brothers makes an appearance in the Stamford-based promotion any time soon.
