"I hit him up all the times of the night" - Jade Cargill opens up about her relationship with popular WWE star
WWE Superstar Jade Cargill is one of the strongest women in the Stamford-based company's roster. The Storm recently opened up about her working relationship with Paul Heyman, revealing she often goes to the veteran, seeking advice.
The 32-year-old joined WWE last year and has already become a two-time Women's Tag Team Champion, winning the title both times with Bianca Belair. The duo defeated Unholy Union at Bash in Berlin to claim the championship. They successfully defended the titles against Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre on the latest edition of Monday Night RAW.
Jade Cargill was featured in limited matches since joining the Stamford-based promotion, as she was brushing up on her in-ring abilities, till she joined forces with Bianca Belair. In a recent conversation with Bill Pritchard of Wrestle Zone, the former AEW star named Paul Heyman as one of the people she usually asks for advice.
Cargill claimed she was eager to meet the WWE Hall of Famer after she joined the company and that she "hit him up all the times of the night," indicating he was always around to offer any words of wisdom, regardless of the time of day.
"Oh my gosh! Paul Heyman. I hit him up all the times of the night. He’s like, ‘It’s fine. It’s fine.’ And I know I probably annoy him. But thank you, Paul Heyman, I appreciate it. That’s one of the people I go to and I ask for advice in this industry. Because he survived generations. He’s — it’s Paul Heyman we are talking about! I was so eager when I got here I was like, ‘Listen, there are two people I want to meet when I come here.’ And that was the one person I was like, ‘Please.’ That was the one of two, and I was like, ‘Please, I have to meet you, I have to take a picture with you,'" she said.
Jade Cargill claims current WWE champion is very sound in his advice
Jade Cargill crossed paths with current Undisputed WWE Champion, Cody Rhodes, during her time in AEW. The two have often talked about the healthy bond they share outside the squared circle.
During her conversation with Pritchard, Cargill named Cody Rhodes as someone who was very sound with his advice. She added she takes The American Nightmare's advice to heart. The former AEW TBS Champion also mentioned her history with Rhodes.
"Cody Rhodes is one of the people I go to for advice all the time. And honestly, he’s very sound in his advice, and I take it to heart," Cargill said. "Obviously we have the CM Punk history… from previous history that we have. I go to him to lean on him." [H/T: WrestleZone]
