"I hope you’re not mad at me for sharing this" - Brock Lesnar showed his true colors amid WWE hiatus, reveals Cody Rhodes
Brock Lesnar may have made headlines for all the wrong reasons. However, Cody Rhodes recently revealed what The Beast Incarnate is actually like behind the scenes.
Rhodes and Lesnar had an epic trilogy in the summer of 2023, which culminated at SummerSlam. The Beast put The American Nightmare over in what could be the final match of his wrestling career.
After the loss, Brock Lesnar briefly broke character to shake hands with Cody Rhodes and raise his arm before walking to the back. Many described his post-match gesture as the passing of the torch moment.
Speaking to the Flagrant podcast, Cody Rhodes debunked one of the common myths about Brock Lesnar and praised him for his professionalism.
“The lore of him is that he is the most crazy, outrageous, strong, the greatest athlete and he can end anybody in a moment. I’ll ruin it for some: his professionalism is so underrated. He is one of, if not, the most professional and understanding of what we wanted," Rhodes said.
Rhodes went on to reveal that Lesnar sent him an "entire cow worth of steaks" from his farm as a gift following their feud last year.
"He has a farm in Canada. I hope you’re not mad at me for sharing this, but he sent me an entire cow worth of steaks, and he took a picture of himself with the cow because he does it all 'cause he is a real farmer. I thought, what a legend! But yeah, he was the utmost professional with me. I was blessed to be in that role,” he added.

Cody Rhodes also described how he truly felt when Brock Lesnar took his gloves off to embrace him in the middle of the ring.
“As I saw him taking his gloves off, I sincerely thought he was going to start swinging, then we went head-to-head, and it felt like we were a millisecond away from starting up again. So I didn't anticipate that handshake coming. When I saw his hand, I was grateful. That's not something he does. Again, this run has consistently surprised me. The torch isn't passed. You have to take it."
His memorable rivalry with The Beast helped The American Nightmare gain much-needed confidence in his quest to finish the story at WrestleMania XL. As for Brock Lesnar, there's no word on when or if he will be back in the squared circle anytime soon.
