"I knocked myself out" - Multi-time WWE World Champion addresses controversial match against The Undertaker

WWE Hall of Famer The Undertaker has cemented his legacy for decades to come. However, the veteran has had a handful of matches during his decorated career that he wouldn't like to remember. Recently, Goldberg addressed his controversial match with The Phenom in Saudi Arabia.

The colossal car crash of a bout between Goldberg and The Undertaker in Saudi Arabia was universally panned. Both veterans were disappointed with the match's execution at WWE Super ShowDown 2019.

During an appearance on INSIGHT with Chris Van Vliet, the two-time Universal Champion and one-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion addressed the match against The Deadman. Regardless of the unbelievable opportunity to compete against The Phenom, the 57-year-old barely remembers the match.

"You know, when I came back, intensity is something very hard to replicate, and I had forgotten my sequence to the ring. I'd forgotten my preparation. It had been so long, and I had put it away; I had put it in a dark place in my mind. I didn't know what to do. I didn't know how to get ready for matches anymore. I was just detached,'' he said.

The veteran added:

''And well, I remember then that I gotta headbutt the door. And I headbutted the door right when they played my music to wrestle Taker, which was the most unbelievable opportunity ever. And I knocked myself out. I was walking to the ring; man, I was on. I was on that street.'' [H/T: Chris Van Vliet]

WWE Hall of Famer The Undertaker also addressed the controversial match against Goldberg

The Undertaker managed to emerge victorious against Goldberg in the controversial match at WWE Super ShowDown via a pinfall. However, the veteran was not impressed with the way the match panned out.

In an interview with Chris Van Vliet, The Deadman admitted that he knew that the match ''wasn't good.'' The legendary wrestler admitted that the duo came out with injuries after the match.

"I knew it wasn't good. And we both; he thought he had a concussion, and my back, I thought, was broken. It was just one of those moments; it was a frustration of the whole thing," he said. [H/T: Chris Van Vliet]
