"I don't know why" - Mark Henry believes 39-year-old WWE star made a mistake returning to the company so soon

A former WWE Champion recently made headlines with his massive return. However, Mark Henry stated that the star shouldn't have returned to the company this soon, and should have taken some more time back home.

The star in question here is Drew McIntyre, who made a massive return a few weeks ago on RAW. While the Scottish Warrior has been on a different level in the company, he made headlines after storming out of a recent non-WWE appearance.

In a recent edition of the Busted Open Podcast, Mark Henry addressed McIntyre's incident and stated that, with so much on his mind, the Scottish Warrior shouldn't have returned this early. Instead, he should have taken more time off television to clear his mind.

“I don't know why he went back to work so fast. There's going to be another WrestleMania... Drew made probably two million a year, so all the damn ends met… Yeah, I understand Drew. I understand him. But what Drew has got to understand is the world is not against him—he's going through a rough patch,” said Mark Henry. [15:22 onwards]

While Drew returned early, he was reportedly not slated to make a comeback so soon. However, after numerous superstars were left injured after Survivor Series, the Stamford-based company reportedly asked McIntyre to make a return.

Drew McIntyre has his next target set in WWE

After a massive victory against Sami Zayn at Saturday Night's Main Event, Drew McIntyre's next target is already known to the fans. The former World Champion unleashed an assault on Jimmy Uso during a recent edition of SmackDown, indicating that the former tag team champion was next in line.

While McIntyre attacked Jimmy, teasing a feud between them, it is uncertain if their rivalry will kick off immediately, given that Jimmy Uso was injured during WarGames. Time will tell what WWE and Triple H have in store for the star.
